Highmark Caring Place featured in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette series on grief

The Highmark Caring Place is featured in a multimedia project produced by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Caring Place is at the center of a larger series of print and video pieces focusing on grief that began on Sunday, March 13, 2016, and runs through Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Sunday's launch of the series includes a major front page story focusing on five teens who attended the Caring Place program in Pittsburgh. This story continues to be available online.

Also online is a 30-minute video documentary made up of interviews of Caring Place teens and their families, with Caring Place director, Terese Vorsheck, tying the pieces together as she explains some of the themes that are touched on. Further videos, shorter in length, including a short overview of the Caring Place program itself, are also available on the PG's website.

This print and video series is a significant resource available to anyone who wants to learn more about grief in southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond. It also shines a light on the work that the Highmark Caring Place continues to do every day with children, teens and their families who have experienced the loss of someone important to them.
