PITTSBURGH (March 6, 2017) — AEC Staffing presented the Highmark Caring Place with a $12,000 donation during a recent tour of the Highmark Caring Place, A Center for Grieving Children, Adolescents and Their Families. AEC Staffing places workers with specialized skills with employers on a temporary or project basis. Through its Hire with Heart program, AEC Staffing donates 10 percent of permanent placement fees and 50 cents per hour of hourly fees to the not-for-profit organization of the hiring company's choice. During 2016, Highmark Health hired network engineers, IT support specialists, and project managers through AEC Staffing and designated the Highmark Caring Place to receive the fees AEC Staffing donated back.

"Giving back to the community is ingrained into our company's DNA," said Christopher Marshall, director of business development at AEC Staffing LLC. "We are particularly gratified when our business partners select smaller, community-based organizations and non-profits to support with infusions of cash that can make a real difference."

AEC Staffing has provided more than $100,000 in charitable donations to over 45 charities in western Pennsylvania since the program's inception in 2010.

"The death of a loved one is devastating to a child," said Terese Vorsheck, director of the Highmark Caring Place. "The impact can be overwhelming, and children and their families need support. The Highmark Caring Place provides that support, free of charge, in the form of peer support programs, education, consultation, and referral services. We sincerely thank AEC Staffing for their generosity and the temporary workers whose labor contributed to this donation."
